Mission

The mission of Central West End Midtown Development is to fulfill the vision of the Central West End and Midtown as the premier full-service neighborhood in St. Louis, Missouri. Central West End Midtown Development is committed to promoting quality residential and commercial development, implementing infrastructure and beautification projects, improving security, marketing the area to new residents and visitors, and finding funding sources for neighborhood improvement projects.

Target Area

Central West End Midtown Development's target area includes the southern portion of the Central West End and the far western portion of Midtown in the city of St. Louis, Missouri. The general boundaries are Lindell Boulevard on the north, Interstate 64/Highway 40 on the south, Kingshighway on the west and Grand Avenue on the east. History

Central West End Midtown Development was founded in 2002, when 17th Ward Alderman Joseph D. Roddy recognized the need for an organization to guide development and improve city services in the Central West End South and Midtown West neighborhoods. The community development corporation now has a seven-member Board of Directors made up of neighborhood residents and representatives of community institutions, five active committees, an Executive Director and a Project Manager.
