The Animal Protective Association of Missouri is a not for profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to a cause which is most simply stated as “bringing people and pets together.” We seek to fulfill this mission by offering adoption, education and outreach services to the greater St. Louis area.

We are not a branch or affiliate of any other animal welfare group and we do not receive funding from government sources. The fees collected in our shelter and clinic, corporate and foundation grants and special events provide a portion of our income, but the majority of funding for our mission comes from individual donors like you.

We deeply appreciate your support. We are proud to report that our financial stewardship has been acknowledged by Charity Navigator, the country’s largest evaluator of not-for-profit groups, with the 4-star rating, their highest possible ranking.
